In the home match-up against West Central, Lennox went toe to toe with the Trojans but ultimately came up short, falling 47-42.
“The boys came out and battled hard, but in the end, we lost a physical fought game. They had some length that gave us more problems than we have seen this season and we struggled shooting the ball from 2,” said LHS head coach Jacob Hinker. “This game was a playoff-like atmosphere that was good for our boys to play in and get the experience.”
Against West Central, Tate Gerdes led the way with 16 points, going three of five from downtown. Gerdes also grabbed six rebounds, had five assists and one steal. Clark Willow Lake jumped to an early lead but Lennox fought back, but eventually fell 58-55.
“CWL came out ready to go and got on us early. The boys fought back and weathered a few tough moments and they just made a couple of tough shots to finish the game,” said Hinker. “We struggled shooting the ball from three in this game and that ultimately ended up being a factor in this game. I was proud of the boys’ efforts and fight in this game.”
