Orioles dominate Parker with straight-set victory ahead of DAK XII Tournament

The Lennox High School Oriole volleyball team traveled to Parker on Tuesday, Oct. 8 for their only match of the week. The Lady O’s handedly controlled the pace and direction of the match, sweeping the Pheasants 25-8, 25-14 and 25-13. 

Libero, Lily Meyer easily led the Orioles serving stats by putting away nine aces, followed by Andie Peters with three. Offense was led by Hannah Adney with 17 set assists that led to kills. Kills were topped by Rylee Hedin with ten and Addison Martz with nine. Three Orioles had two blocks: Mallorie Bittner, Ella Grengs and Martz. Defense was led by Meyer with eight digs and Libby Kranz with six. 

Upcoming for the varsity this Saturday, Oct. 19 is the DAK XII tournament in Vermillion followed by the final home match on Tuesday, October 22 against McCook Central/Montrose which will serve as both senior night as well as the Pink Out for Pruitt fundraising event. 

The regular season will finish up the following week, October 29 against Sioux Falls Christian.
