Love I.N.C. has been awarded an $1,800 grant from the Lennox Area Community Fund (LACF) to support the purchase of educational materials, including workbooks and DVDs, and to train volunteers for their Transformational Ministries program. This initiative empowers volunteers to walk alongside individuals seeking assistance, helping them move beyond their immediate needs.
Transformational Ministries mobilizes local churches to provide a holistic approach to care, addressing spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, material, and physical needs. Through this collaboration, Christians in these churches model Christ’s love and respond to the call to serve their communities.
With a dedicated team of trained volunteers, Love I.N.C. is now preparing to launch classes in the coming months, a critical component of their program. These classes aim to help individuals break free from cycles of poverty and poor decision-making by fostering new ways of thinking and behavior.
Unlike traditional relief organizations, Love I.N.C. is committed to transformation rather than temporary aid. As a “hand-up” rather than a “hand-out” organization, they strive to create lasting change through their Transformational Ministries program in partnership with local churches.
Currently, Love I.N.C. serves 22 churches and their surrounding communities in the greater Lennox and Turner County areas. Their office operates out of Faith Presbyterian Church in Lennox. The LACF awarded this grant as part of its 2024 funding cycle, which benefited eight local organizations, including Love, I.N.C. Other recipients include the Lennox Area Historical Society, Junior Achievement, Worthing Fire Department, Lennox Fire Department, Lennox Community Library, Lincoln County 4-H, and Lennox Area Ambulance
Since 2004, the LACF has supported the Lennox, Chancellor, and Worthing communities by providing financial backing to numerous nonprofit organizations. Through the generosity of its donors, the LACF continues to strengthen the local area by awarding grants to meaningful causes. Donations of any size help to increase the fund’s balance and allow the organization to continue its impactful work. Every gift, large or small, helps to increase the fund balance and allows the LACF to continue to give grants to local organizations like the Lennox Area Ambulance.
Local organizations are reminded that the deadline for grant applications is at the beginning of August each year. Nonprofits in the Lennox, Chancellor, and Worthing areas are encouraged to apply for future funding opportunities.
