LHS volleyball team wraps up regular season

The Lennox High School volleyball team wrapped up their regular season with a competitive match against Sioux Falls Christian on October 28, ultimately falling 1-3 in four closely contested sets. 

The Lady Orioles took the first set 25-19, showcasing an aggressive, high-energy start. However, Sioux Falls Christian pushed back, taking the next three sets with scores of 21-25, 25-27, and 17-25. The third set was especially intense, with both teams fighting point-for-point until Sioux Falls Christian clinched it in “volleyball overtime” at 27-25.

Libby Kranz led the charge for Lennox with a strong offensive performance, racking up 17 kills. She also contributed significantly in serve-receive alongside Lilly Meyer. Together, Kranz and Meyer recorded over 50 serve receive passes, showing their defensive consistency. The team also delivered its best blocking performance of the season, with Mallorie Bittner and Kranz each tallying four blocks.

Ella Grengs had an impressive all-around match, contributing across the board with eight kills, 13 digs, and a team-high 17 set assists. Addison Martz added four aces to the team’s scoring effort. Grengs and Hannah Adney, who contributed 12 assists, effectively managed the team’s offensive plays.

Looking ahead, the Lady Orioles will enter the postseason with a match against Canton on November 5. Full results will be available in next week’s paper.
