The Lennox High School student council is looking forward to another busy year, starting with Homecoming activities. The theme this year takes us Through the Years!
High school students will show their spirit by dressing up during the week of September 21st through the 25th. The dress-up days center around the theme and are as follows: Met Gala Monday (formal dress up, 2000’s), Tie Dye Tuesday (60’s/70’s), Workout Wednesday (80’s), Country vs. Country Club Thursday (50’s), and Fan Friday (Spirit Day) for Friday!
The public is invited to attend the planned activities throughout the week: Monday, September 21 – JV Football against Vermillion at Vermillion starting at 4 p.m., Boys Golf Varsity Conference Meet at Dell Rapids starting at 9 a.m., Girls Tennis Varsity Match at Lincoln High School starting at 1:30 p.m., and Coronation is at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 22 – Girls Tennis Varsity Triangular at Milbank starting at 12 p.m., Boys Golf JV Conference at Canton High School starting at 3 p.m., and Volleyball vs. Irene-Wakonda at home with Freshman and JV starting at 5 p.m. and Varsity starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 24 - Volleyball vs. West Central at West Central with Freshman and JV starting at 4:30 and Varsity starting at 7 p.m. Friday, September 25 – Homecoming Parade starting at 1:30 p.m., and Varsity Football game against Canton at home starting at 7 p.m.
All of the above events are subject to change, but we hope they go on as planned so we can support our Orioles together! We ask that all spectators follow attendance guidelines listed on the Lennox High School website (Lennox.k12.sd.us). We also ask that all those planning on attending Coronation on Monday, September 21 wear a mask.
Lastly, in order to maintain a safe social distance, we are asking all parade participants to abstain from tossing candy or other items this year. This homecoming may look a bit different but our Oriole Pride will still shine!
