The Lennox High School Junior Varsity golfers competed in the Cheeseball Open at Parkston on Aug. 31.
On the nine-hole course several Lennox golfers finished with a 47. They included Cody Plank, Will Hoppe, and Mitch VanMeeteren. Noah Welch shot a 48. Jackson Anacker a 49, Pierce Temme a 50, Emmitt Odland a 50, Aiden Kollis a 51, Aiden Hanssen a 52, Eli Plank a 54, Eli Highum a 56, and Carter Beringer a 66.
The Lennox Junior Varsity also competed at Central Valley in Hartford on Sept. 5. Ryan Benning led the team with a 42. Highum shot a 49, Musser a 50, Anacker a 50, VanMeeteren a 50, C. Plank a 51, Welch a 52, Hoppe a 52, Temme a 52, Hanssen a 54, Odland a 55, and E. Plank a 55.
On Thursday, Sept. 7 the LHS varsity golfers competed in the Vermillion Invite.
Eli Homan led the way with an 87, shooting a 43 on the front nine and a 44 on the back. Benning finished with a 90 (44, 46), Griffen Boomgarden a 94 (44, 50), Talen Dierks a 97 (49, 48), Alex Heibult a 97 (43, 54), and Highum a 113 (56, 57).
The team hosted Vermillion in a dual on Monday, Sept. 12 and on Monday, Sept. 18 the LHS golfers will compete at Bakker Crossing in the Dak 12 Conference Tournament.
