LHS baseball team ends season with loss to MVPC




On Wednesday, May 22 the Lennox High School baseball team faced off against Mount Vernon Plankinton in the postseason. The Orioles trailed 1-0 ofter the opening inning but battled back to tie things up after two. In the top of the third, MVPC scored three runs and Lennox answered with two. MVPC extended their lead, scoring one run in the top of the fifth and one more in the top of the sixth. Lennox battled back scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth but ultimately fell, 6-5 ending their season. 

On the mound for Lennox was Talen Eich who pitched four innings in relief. He allowed five hits and two runs while striking out one and walking three. Braxton Musser took the loss for the Orioles. He pitched three innings, giving up four runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking one. 

Recording hits for the Orioles were Isaac Bambas, Eich, Cole Spieler, and Musser. Ashton Bach had two walks in the game. Lennox also recorded four stolen bases.
