The Lennox Youth Wrestling program saw success at Regions held March 11 in Yankton. Several Lennox wrestlers qualified for the State Youth Wrestling Tournament to beheld at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen March 24, 25, and 26.
Claiming first place honors at Regions and qualifying for State were the following Lennox wrestlers: Gerrit Lund, Cason Zens, Jase Thoms, RJ VandeHoef, Grant Larson, Tenley Sturm, Marin Bartscher, Rosearia Rohrer, and Jocelyn Thoms.
Earning second place at Regions and a spot at the State Tournament were the following Lennox wrestlers: Creyton Seykora, Evrin Rohrer, Grant Veurink, Maverick Mellegard, Kedren Fergen, and Cadence Zens. Also punching their ticket to State for Lennox was Rylan Langbehn who captured third at Regions and Lincoln Allie who claimed fourth at Regions.
Weigh-ins begin at 12 noon on Friday, March 24 for the State Tournament with doors opening at 3 p.m. for Cadets, juniors, and high school girls wrestlers. Wrestling is set to get underway at 4 p.m.
