Lennox Superintendent steps down, School Board approves resignation

A special meeting of the Lennox School Board took place on Friday, Sept. 13, with board members Heidi Bowers absent and board members Renae Buehner and Melissa Daugherty joining via phone.

A slight change to the agenda was made to allow for public comments, and after hearing none, the board promptly moved into executive session at 5:01 p.m. The session lasted until 6:35 p.m.

Upon returning to open session, the board addressed key action items. The resignation of Brian Field, Superintendent of the Lennox School District, was approved, effective September 30, 2024. As part of the agreement, Mr. Field will be required to pay $7,500 in liquidated damages.

The vote to approve the resignation was unanimous, with Scott Sandal, Nick Butler, Jennifer Slack, and Clayton Wulf all voting in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 6:36 p.m.
