Lennox prepares for Homecoming 2024

Lennox High School Homecoming royalty candidates were announced last week. Those selected are pictured above and include, from left to right, (front row): Lillian Meyer, Kelsey Schmidt, Ryan Hanssen, Charlee Jorgensen, Natalie Andernacht; (back row): Noah Buhta, Nate Haar, Boston Katzer, Emory Lefers, and Noah Sayler. 

Homecoming will be celebrated Sept. 23 though Sept. 27, beginning with Coronation on Monday, Sept. 23.

The theme this year is ‘Road Trip to a Victory’. 

The week includes special dress-up days for the students. High School dress-up days are as follows: 

Monday: Malibu Monday

Tuesday: Four Corner Tuesday - Each class has class t-shirts or colors for the day: freshman - purple, Sophomore - pink, Junior - Blue, Senior - Black 

Wednesday:Wilderness Wednesday

Thursday: Hippie in the City

Friday: Coming home Friday - Orange and Black

Activities for the week include: 

Monday: Golf @ Central Valley CC, JV FB @ WC 4 pm, Coronation 8pm

Tuesday: Tennis @ Milbank; Golf @ Elk Point; JH football @home; JH and HS VB @ home 

Wednesday:  FCCLA is hosting a walk-a-thon for students at the track 8:30 am- all donations from the event will be given to the Giving Tree.  

Thursday: HS VB @ West Central

Friday: 8:30ish Class volleyball tournament in the gym followed by powder  puff football at the football field; Parade starts at the park at 1:30pm (see the route on page 2); Football game against Dakota Valley 7 pm;  Junior High band plays before the football game;  Queen and King Candidates announced before game; LHS band performs at halftime

Saturday: HS band at Tri-State Band Festival in Luverne and Big Sioux Review in Sioux Falls
