Lennox Oral Interp begins season virtually



The Lennox oral interpretation team officially started its season with a home invitational that was held October 15. That tournament and every tournament that squad will attend in 2020 will be virtual, including regions and state. This change has brought new challenges and some new opportunities.

The Lennox Oral Interp invitational saw 13 schools participate from all over the state. In fact one competitor was from out of the country. A member of the speech team from Opus Academy in British Columbia, Canada participated in three events. Several Lennox students participated in the meet. Gunnar Geiken, freshman, received an excellent in drama interp. Receiving an excellent plus award were Cecily Weiers, freshman, in drama and Kaylee Bosma, junior, in non-original oratory. Superiors were awarded to Andrew Calhoon, senior, in storytelling. Students receiving superior plus were Xavier Larson, junior, in humor and Andrew Calhoon in drama.
