Lennox Fire Department awarded LACF grant

Recently the Lennox Fire Department was awarded a $3,000 grant by the Lennox Area Community Fund (LACF).

The funds will be used to help purchase bunker gear for new members. One set of bunker gear costs over $4,000. Current Lennox Fire Department members include: Jason Bultena, Aaron Sather, Justin DeCou, Scott Timmerman, Brandon Klinger, Gene Mayfield, Roger Strasser, Harold Timmerman, Brock Hoogestraat, Micah Strasser, Mike Fodness, Kris Kuper, Tyler Abbas, Chris Schoffelman, Tanner Tipton, Josh Fischer, Nathan Timmerman, Terry Weber, Cale Bossman, Jordan Fischer, Tyler Leisinger, Wayne Fischer, John Fischer, Derek Fischer, Jaetin Decou and Derek Severson.


LACF’s 2022 grants have been awarded to eight recipients, they include: Lennox Community Library, Lennox Area Historical Society, Lennox Fire Department, Chancellor Fire Department, Lincoln County 4-H, Trophy Trotters 4-H, Junior Achievement, and the Worthing Fire Department. A total of $15,362 was awarded to the organizations.


The LACF is a charitable endowment working to strengthen the vibrancy of the Lennox, Chancellor and Worthing communities. Thanks to the support of generous donors and through the power of endorsement, the LACF has awarded hundreds of meaningful grants to nonprofits and causes throughout the Lennox, Chancellor and Worthing areas since 2004.

Every gift, large or small, helps to increase the fund balance and allows the LACF to continue to give grants to local organizations like the Lennox Historical Society.


Grant applications are due every year at the beginning of August.
