Lennox faced off against Dakota Valley to open the Tournament on Saturday, July 9. With some great pitching and strong hitting, Lennox took the 12-2 win. Mason Reischl pitched the first two innings and was forced off the mound due to the under 45 pitch rule, allowing him to catch the remainder of the game. Nate Harr took over pitching duties in the third inning and struck out nine batters in the game.
At the plate, Reischl led the way with two hits. Jaxson Bittner was walked three times, hit a single and managed to cross home plate multiple times in the game.
Following the win over Dakota Valley, Lennox faced off against Tea Area in the evening match-up.
With great pitching once again, Lennox was able to get the 4-0 victory advancing to the next round of the Tournament, one win away from State qualification.
Against Tea, Talen Eich pitched all seven innings, recording 15 strike-outs, and allowing only one hit.
At the plate, Gabe Veurink managed two hits in the game. Cole Spieler hit an RBI single to help lead the batters.
With the win over Tea Area, Lennox found themselves facing off against them once again. In the double elimination tournament, a win would send Lennox to the State Tournament. And that is exactly what they got. With a 11-2 victory over Tea Area, Lennox claimed the Region 6 Title and punched their ticket to State.
Once again, Lennox enjoyed strong pitching as Spieler pitched six strong innings and Bittner closed out the final frame for Lennox. Eich was strong at the plate, crushing two doubles in the game. Spieler recorded an RBI double to center field and hit a single, to help lead the Lennox batters. Harr also had a big day at bat, knocking in several runs.
Lennox will now prepare fro the State 14U VFW Baseball Tournament which will be held in Winner, July 22–24
