Self-taught photographer, Alycia Bromar-Estwick, is taking her talents worldwide as she shares her collection in Spain, Paris, Switzerland and more.

Alycia Bromar-Estwick got her start in photography as a child, carrying a small brownie camera.

“This has been a passion since I was a child and I have been serious with photography for 35 years even though I’ve never taken a class,” Bromar-Estwick said.

Her love of photography and the freedom of self-exploration has led Bromar-Estwick to locations all throughout the United States.

“I have owned three different galleries in Utah and in California. I specialize in fine art photography including landscapes; however, I also do larger, award winning, shoots in boudoir and private shoots,” she said.

Finding places to photograph comes easy as Bromar-Estwick travels across the states.

“Everything I shoot is here in the beautiful USA from Arizona, California, Texas, Utah, everything in between and of course right here in South Dakota,” she continued.

Bromar-Estwick tries to retain the special magic she finds in unique buildings and in rural areas to capture the mood and find beauty in every place she visits.

“The best part of photography is the ‘capture’ I say because many things I’ve photographed are no longer there, so to have the remnants of what used to be, whether that’s people or landscapes, is very special,” she said.

Throughout the years, Bromar-Estwick has put together a collection of her finest artworks and they are now on display all over the world.

“I am showing in galleries all over the world including the Thompson Gallery in Switzerland, the Nicoleta Gallery in Berlin, Germany, the Andakulova Gallery in Dubai, and I just finished the Art Expo in Paris, just two blocks from the Louvre,” she said.

A highlight of her world fame has come from Spain where Bromar-Estwick has won a prestigious award.

“This month, I won an exhibition of my photography in the Casa Del Arte Gallery in Spain, which I have just mailed my work off to,” she said.

The emotions were strong when she learned of the award.

“I am still in shock with the explosion of support overseas, it is such an honor,” she said.

While on the global stage, Bromar-Estwick is looking to make a home for herself in the area.

“My goal now is to open a gallery here in the area but also continue my presence abroad. I hope to inspire the next generation to not turn into AI, I feel there is something special to a pure photograph, the way you see it, capture it, and present it makes all the difference,” she said.
