The Lennox school bands are gearing up for one of their biggest events of the year: the Festival of Tables, scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Lennox Intermediate School Cafetorium. This annual event serves as a major fundraiser for the school’s award-winning band program.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door, with doors opening at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased from any band student or by emailing lennoxbands@gmail.com.
The event will feature a delicious brunch served at 10:30 a.m., accompanied by live music from the Lennox High School Jazz Band. Raffle prizes will also be up for grabs, with the drawings starting at 11 a.m.
This year’s Festival of Tables celebrates a successful season for the Lennox High School Marching Band which earned top honors in several competitions.
The band received first place at the Pursuit of Excellence, where they also claimed awards for Best Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, and Color Guard. At the Tri-State Band Festival, the band secured second place, along with awards for Best Color Guard, Best Drum Majors, and the People’s Choice Award. Their success continued at the Big Sioux Review, where they earned second place and Best Color Guard. They achieved first place and Best Color Guard at the Festival of Bands and capped off the season with a fourth-place finish at the Youth in Music competition in Minneapolis. The Junior High Marching Band also excelled, securing first place at the Missouri Valley Marching Festival and the Lake Area Festival of Bands.
Proceeds from the Festival of Tables will help support these talented musicians as they continue to bring pride to Lennox. Don’t miss this festive event celebrating the community and its outstanding band program.
